Basic Photography Techniques
Y3 - 8
We will learn to use some basic photography techniques to develop an understanding of level, angle, distance and framing. We will also look at subject and composition using the rule of thirds. The workshop is aimed at helping those with limited camera knowledge or those who want to learn more about the techniques outlined above. This is the programme I use with the students and planning will be available.
Please bring a camera with you if you can. There will be a few available for those who can’t access one. Try and familiarise yourself with the basic operations on your camera beforehand and it would be useful to find the gridlines (through the menu) if your camera has them.

Going SOLO for ESOL
Teachers working with ESOL (ELLS) students
In some case, our English Language Learners (ELLs) are often seen as being confident with English. However, do they really understand what we teach them in the classroom? How well do our ELLs understand what they learn in the classroom? How well do they articulate the language of SOLO?
This is a snapshot of how we use SOLO to support classroom learning so that our Englsh Language Learners are not left behind.
